The Good Beer Guide to New England

This is indeed a dark time for the 2 Beer Guys blog. I just looked and the last post was on April 19th, and it wasn't even by one of the 2 Beer Guys!



Ok, enough about that. Tuesday night, Sean and I went to the Harpoon Brewery in Boston to get our hands on the first available copies of Andy Crouch's 'The Good Beer Guide to New England'. We had a chance to speak with Andy briefly, as well as hear him speak about the book, and he is a genuinely nice guy with a great feel for beer.

We sampled from several recently kegged offerings from Harpoon, including their latest 100 Barrel Series release, Saison. It was a hazy beer with a spiced flavor, a review will follow at a later date. We also had some cask-conditioned IPA, and that was delicious.

The book takes you on a tour of New England breweries and bars, going through their history, their offerings, and Andy's pick for their best brew.
